Welcome
Welcome to the
official website of Victorian adventurer Caxton Tempest,
and author Ken Preston. Here you will find all the news
on the Caxton Tempest series, author biography,
extras such as first drafts, deleted chapters and notes,
free short stories, competitions and more.If you like
Victorian mysteries, vampires, demons, secret societies,
cliff hanger endings and memorable characters, all
served with a dash of Sherlock Holmes and Hammer Horror,
then you've come to the right place.
So take my hand
and come with me down this foggy, gaslit street in the
East End. Ignore the newspapermen shouting out the
ghastly details of the latest murders, and the drunks
singing their bawdy songs. Let us hurry past the public
houses, their filthy windows ablaze with a yellow glow,
and the slaughter houses discharging filth onto the
street. There, that's it, down that narrow backstreet,
can you see it? The dilapidated shop, its windows grey
with dirt and cobwebs, the crooked old sign hanging
above its door, a single word scrawled on it:
Magick
Enter if you
dare...
Competition
Look out for a new competition soon.
To celebrate the launch of my new book,
The Devil and Edward Teach, I'll be

There's a
new book on it's way soon.
The Devil and Edward Teach is
slated for release later this summer.
Abigail Rose lives with her stern father
and young sister in London, but secretly yearns
for adventure on the high seas. How she would
love to sail away with 'Calico Jack' Rackam, and
his crew of pirates, and live like the female
pirates Anny Bonny and Mary Read.
But after being caught by the infamous
Blackbeard she soon realises that the pirate's
life is brutal and short, and filled with
cruelty.
Only her companion and protector Cornelius Wilde
can save her, but is even that young adventurer
a match for The Devil and Edward Teach?
